All or nothing

The “all or nothing” idea ruins more habits than a lack of information.

It shows up when you believe something only counts if it is complete, intense, and perfect.

But real life rarely cooperates with that kind of demand.

There are days when doing 100% is simply not possible. On those days, doing a little still counts. Doing a little keeps the thread.

And keeping the thread is more important than the intensity of the effort.

A habit done halfway is not a failure. It is still an act of continuity, still a sign of commitment to who you are becoming.

Consistency is born from this kind of quiet decision. Not from occasional big efforts, but from small actions that repeat, even when they are not perfect.

The chase for perfection often looks like discipline, but it comes at a high cost.

It turns any slip into a reason to quit everything, and slowly teaches your brain that it is only worth trying when conditions are ideal.

Accepting imperfect progress changes this logic. It allows the habit to keep existing on good days and bad days.

And this ongoing existence is what makes something become part of your identity. Doing less than planned is still doing.

And many times, that is exactly what keeps the habit alive.
